At Cellnutrition we are dedicated to caring for and nourishing our cells. We are committed to providing all with 100% clean, bioavailable and safe nutritional products.

Over 100 years of History

‘You can trace every illness, every disease, and every ailment to a mineral deficiency’ – Two-time Noble Prize winner Dr. Linus Pauling.

René Quinton, a French physiologist, first discovered and therapeutically administered Quinton Marine Plasma around the late 19th century.

It was this discovery which led him to rich plankton blooms, where phytoplankton and zooplankton interact and release a nutrient-rich mix of bioactive minerals, amino acids, nucleic acid, antioxidants, polysaccharides and unsaturated fatty acids. He called this fluid “marine plasma” and this later became known as Quinton – pretty impressive stuff.

Between 1887 and 1904, René Quinton applied his marine treatment and collected observations that allowed him to develop a therapeutic method; together with other professors, eminent clinical leaders and young medical enthusiasts. Quinton started his therapy in Parisian hospitals where he was permitted to treat desperate cases.

By 1907 Quinton opened his first Marine Dispensary in Paris. Hundreds of mothers brought their babies to the clinic for treatment, at a time when malnutrition, infant cholera and gastro-intestinal infections killed thousands. Marine plasma was administered both orally and by injection and was responsible for saving thousands of lives.

Later, other dispensaries were opened in all districts of Paris, in other regions of France, the UK, Belgium, Egypt and United States, to name a few.

In 1982 changes in EU pharmaceutical regulations required all injectable products to be heat treated. However, heat would damage the natural components of Quinton. Therefore, Quinton Laboratories insisted on keeping with the original protocol of using cold-microfiltration to achieve today’s pharmaceutical-grade products. As this was not in keeping with the new pharmaceutical legislation, Quinton was classified as a food supplement.
